Services

Equine sports therapy combines knowledge  of anatomy, biomechanics and physiology to address soft tissue issues, muscular imbalances, and compensatory patterns.

Manual techniques & functional exercises

Each session begins with a full static and dynamic assessment to identify areas of discomfort or restriction. Treatment plans are then tailored using a range of techniques such as massage, myofascial release, stretching, and mobilisation to restore balance and comfort.

Benefits

  • Relieves muscle tension, tightness and soreness.

  • Improves flexibility, suppleness and range of motion.

  • Enhance circulation, lymphatic drainage and reduces inflammation.

  • Encourages correct muscle development and posture.

  • Support long-term musculoskeletal health and balance.

  • Improves stride length, balance, and engagement.

  • Reduces the risk of injury through early detection.

Rehabiliation & performance support

Focusing on helping your horse recover safely and effectively from injury, surgery, or long-term compensatory issues- working in collaboration with vets, farriers and other paraprofessionals. I design individual rehabilitation programs comprised of structured and progressive exercise plans that rebuild muscle, restore symmetry, and return horses to optimal function.

Rehabilitation programs may include:

  • Controlled exercise programs

  • Post-injury or post-operative soft tissue therapy

  • Stretching and mobilisation techniques

  • Strengthening and conditioning exercises

The focus is always on gradual, structured recovery to restore correct movement patterns and prevent re-injury.

Maintenance & preventative care

Regular maintenance sessions are key to keeping horses comfortable, supple and performing at their best. Routine therapy helps identify small issues before they develop into larger problems and supports consistent training progress.

This service is ideal for:

  • Competition horses in regular work.

  • Horses returning to work after time off.

  • Young or developing horses building strength.

  • Older horses needing comfort and flexibility.

After every session, I provide a detailed report and guidance for ongoing care. This may include stretching routines, in-hand exercises, or tailored management advice to help maintain the benefits of treatment between visits.
